Balochistan Food Authority Seizes 300 Kilograms of Unhealthy Chicken Meat in Major Operation

Quetta: The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has foiled an attempt to supply 300 kilograms of spoiled and unhygienic chicken meat to the market during a late-night operation at Kuchlak Bypass.

According to a BFA spokesperson, the operation was conducted on the directives of the Director Operations following a confidential tip-off. In coordination with Kuchlak Police, the food safety team inspected passenger bus No. BSC-217 and recovered 300 kilograms of foul-smelling chicken meat deemed hazardous for human consumption.

Officials said the timely action prevented the contaminated meat from reaching consumers. The seized meat was subsequently destroyed after the completion of legal formalities.

The Balochistan Food Authority has initiated legal proceedings against those responsible for attempting to transport and distribute the unsafe food products.

The special operation continued until 1:00 a.m., with BFA teams actively working to safeguard public health. Authorities reiterated that there will be zero tolerance for individuals involved in the transportation or sale of unsafe and adulterated food items.

The BFA emphasized that its zero-tolerance policy against food safety violations remains firmly in place and that strict action will continue against anyone endangering public health.

Reaffirming its commitment to the slogan, “Safe Food, Healthy Balochistan,” the authority stated that it is maintaining strict oversight of food quality across the province to ensure the availability of safe and hygienic food products for the public.
