Digital Media Crucial for Promoting Government Initiatives, Says Balochistan Information Secretary Imran Khan

Quetta: Imran Khan, Secretary of Information Balochistan, chaired a key meeting to review the performance of the Department of Public Relations (DPR) and discuss strategies for effective promotion of government initiatives across the province. The session focused on departmental performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), digital media policy, comprehensive media coverage of ongoing development projects, and enhancing public awareness through modern communication channels.

Director General Public Relations Balochistan Askar Khan, Director PR (Press) Syed Tanveer Akhtar, and other officials attended the meeting. Secretary Imran Khan emphasized that the department plays a vital role in highlighting the provincial government’s policies, development projects, and public welfare initiatives in line with the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

He stressed the need to strengthen the use of digital media, video documentaries, and social media platforms to ensure accurate and timely information reaches the public. He highlighted that digital media has become an effective tool for public awareness and promoting government performance.

The meeting reaffirmed the department’s commitment to transparency, public trust, and social development while enhancing institutional capacity and utilizing modern technology to better communicate the government’s developmental agenda to the citizens of Balochistan.
