GCC Condemns Iran’s Alleged Attacks on US Facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan

Riyadh:The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has strongly condemned Iran’s alleged retaliatory strikes targeting US military installations in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, describing the attacks as serious violations of international law.

According to international media reports, GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi said the attacks on civilian infrastructure and public facilities in the three countries constituted war crimes and posed a significant threat to regional peace and stability.

In a statement, Al Budaiwi said that deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure violates international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter. He warned that the escalating attacks could further destabilize the region.

He urged the international community not to remain silent over the incidents and called for Iran to be held accountable under international law.

The GCC chief also demanded an independent international investigation into the attacks and called for legal action against those found responsible.

Expressing full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, Al Budaiwi reaffirmed that the Gulf Cooperation Council stands firmly with its member states in safeguarding their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
