Funeral Prayers Held for Retired Army Havaldar Muhammad Sadiq Panizai in Ziarat

ZIARAT: Funeral prayers for retired Pakistan Army Havaldar Muhammad Sadiq Panizai were offered in his native village of Killi Chena in Ziarat district, after which he was laid to rest in the local graveyard.

A large number of tribal elders, community leaders, relatives, and local residents attended the funeral. Participants prayed for the deceased’s forgiveness, elevated status, and strength and patience for his bereaved family.

According to local sources, Muhammad Sadiq Panizai was allegedly abducted by unidentified armed men several days ago. His body was later recovered along with the bodies of four other individuals during a security forces’ operation at a residential house in the Shaban area of Zarghoon Ghar.

Sources said the retired soldier had left his home on July 5 on a motorcycle for Quetta but was reportedly kidnapped while on his way. News of his death cast a pall of grief over the area.

Residents strongly condemned the incident and called on the authorities to bring those responsible to justice. They also urged the government to take effective and immediate measures to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
