Three Suspects Arrested Within 36 Hours in Dr. Akash Murder Case, Says DIG South
Karachi: DIG South Asad Raza has stated that police investigations into the murder of Dr. Akash revealed that four suspects, riding two motorcycles, carried out the crime with the intention of robbing cash withdrawn from a bank.
According to the investigation, one suspect was present inside the bank and conducted surveillance on the victim’s family. After they withdrew the money, he alerted his accomplices waiting outside, who then followed and targeted them.
Dr. Akash was fatally shot during the robbery incident in Karachi’s Frere area. DIG South said that police utilized CCTV footage and modern forensic and technical evidence to identify and track down the suspects.
He further informed that three suspects were arrested within just 36 hours of the incident, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the crime.
Police have vowed to continue operations until all members of the robbery gang are brought to justice.
