Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan Criticizes Maulana Fazlur Rehman Over Remarks on Armed Forces

Islamabad: Pakistan Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) spokesperson Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan launched a strong criticism of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, urging him to send his two sons to the country’s borders and saying he would personally give them Rs100 million each.

Speaking at a press conference, Chohan said Maulana Fazlur Rehman should send his sons to the frontlines so they could understand the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s armed forces. He also accused the JUI-F leader of making inappropriate remarks about the country’s martyrs and called on him to apologize to the nation.

Chohan praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their performance during what he referred to as the “Battle of Truth,” saying the military had demonstrated its professional capabilities while the nation stood united in support of the armed forces.

He further alleged that India continues to conspire against Pakistan following what he described as a humiliating defeat, adding that Pakistani soldiers and officers continue to sacrifice their lives in defense of the country.

Referring to the late Major Adnan Haider, Chohan said the officer had laid down his life for the nation and criticized what he called attempts to mislead the public in the name of democracy. He maintained that Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s recent comments had hurt the sentiments of many Pakistanis and accused him of using inappropriate language against the armed forces.
