Police Officers Booked for Murder After Suspect Dies in Custody in Tharparkar

A young man died after allegedly being tortured by police officers over accusations of goat theft near Diplo, a town in Tharparkar district, Pakistan.

Following the incident, a murder case has been registered against three police officers at Diplo Police Station. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the officers allegedly subjected the young man to severe physical torture, resulting in his death.

The FIR further states that the accused officers abandoned the victim’s body at Diplo Hospital before fleeing the scene.

After the case was registered, the victim’s family collected the body from the hospital and returned to their native village for burial. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
