Explosions and Heavy Gunfire Reported in Attack on Mir Shafiq Mengal’s Residence in Khuzdar

Khuzdar: Explosions and heavy gunfire were reported during an attack on the residence of prominent tribal and political figure Mir Shafiq Mengal in the Shahzad City area of Khuzdar, creating panic among local residents.

According to initial reports, the attackers blew up the main gate of the residence with explosives before exchanging heavy gunfire. Sources said the firing continued for an extended period, with reports suggesting that the attackers briefly took control of defensive positions around the property.

Mir Shafiq Mengal was reported to be unharmed in the attack. However, one of his close relatives was reportedly injured.

Following the incident, security forces increased their presence in the area, while authorities launched an investigation into the attack.
