Public Holiday Announced in Vehari on July 11 for Annual Urs Celebrations

Lahore: The district administration has declared Friday, July 11, a public holiday across Vehari district in connection with the annual Urs of Baba Diwan Haji Sher.

Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed said the three-day Urs celebrations will begin on July 9, with the public holiday falling on the final day of the event.

According to an official notification, examinations conducted by educational boards and universities will continue as scheduled and will not be affected by the holiday.

The notification further stated that essential services, including administrative departments, healthcare institutions, and security agencies, will remain operational and continue to perform their official duties throughout the holiday.
