6-Year-Old Boy Found Dead in Karachi; Neighbor Arrested for Alleged Rape and Murder

KARACHI:A six-year-old boy who had been missing since Monday evening was found dead in Karachi’s Napier area, with police alleging that he was sexually assaulted before being murdered.
According to police, the suspect—identified as the child’s neighbor—has been arrested. The victim, identified as Wali, was reportedly abducted from outside his home on Monday evening.
Police said the child’s body was discovered stuffed inside a sack and has been shifted to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Officials stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy report is completed.
The victim’s mother alleged that her son’s mutilated body was packed in a sack and thrown from a three-story building.
Family members said they had been searching for the child for two days and claimed the crime was committed inside the suspect’s house. They further alleged that the suspect prevented them from entering his home while pretending to help search for the missing boy.
The child’s father, a rickshaw driver, said the victim was his only son and the youngest among five siblings, including four sisters.
The family has appealed to the authorities to take strict notice of the incident and ensure justice. Local residents claimed they apprehended the suspect themselves before handing him over to the police.
