Sit-In Launched in Ziarat Over Deadly Attack, Protesters Demand Recovery of Abducted Personnel

Ziarat/Quetta: Families of those affected by the recent attack in Ziarat have launched a protest sit-in outside the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, demanding the safe recovery of the abducted security personnel and vowing to continue their demonstration until they are released.
The protesters, expressing deep grief and anger over the incident, also prevented several government officials from attending the funeral prayers of the victims.
Meanwhile, a separate sit-in that began overnight at Khanozai Cross remains underway in protest against the Ziarat attack. Protest organizers have also announced the relocation of the demonstration from Ziarat Cross to Quetta’s Airport Road.
Following the announcement, protesters departed from Ziarat Cross in a rally toward Quetta. After their departure, the National Highway N-50 was reopened to all traffic.
However, authorities said the Khanozai Cross remained closed due to the ongoing protest, with demonstrators continuing to press for the safe recovery of the missing and abducted personnel.
