Timely Arrest of Female Suicide Bomber a Major Success: Babar Yousafzai Praises Security Forces

Quetta: Adviser to the Interior Ministry of Balochistan Babar Yousafzai has termed the timely arrest of a female suicide bomber as a major achievement by security forces, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement personnel.

In a statement, he lauded the professionalism, strategic planning, and bravery of the personnel, saying their swift action prevented a major tragedy and saved countless innocent lives. He also congratulated Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, along with all relevant security and intelligence institutions, for successfully foiling a significant terrorist plot.

Yousafzai said the operation reflects the preparedness and vigilance of security institutions to counter all forms of threats and conspiracies. He emphasized that their sacrifices and professional capabilities are a source of pride for the nation.

Expressing concern, he noted that certain elements on social media attempt to spread propaganda in favor of terrorist groups and mislead the public, while such groups exploit innocent individuals, including children and young girls, for their agendas. He stressed the need to expose such elements and counter their narratives effectively.

He further stated that the fight against terrorism is not only the responsibility of security forces but of the entire nation, adding that unity among state institutions, political leadership, media, and the public is essential to defeat terrorism.

Yousafzai concluded that anti-state elements are trying to disrupt peace and development in Balochistan, but their efforts will fail due to national unity, the sacrifices of security forces, and the government’s firm resolve.
