Lahore Court Grants Five-Day Physical Remand of Suspects in Alleged Kidnapping and Sexual Assault Case Involving Foreign Women

Lahore: A judicial court in Lahore has granted a five-day physical remand of four suspects, including the principal accused, in connection with the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of two foreign women in the city’s Defence area.
The suspects, including Ahmed Raza, were produced before Judicial Magistrate Azhar Mehmood at the Cantt Courts by the Defence Police.
During the hearing, the magistrate ordered the suspects to remove their face masks to facilitate identification in court.
The prosecution informed the court that the complainants are foreign nationals and that another suspect, Ali Dar, has also been nominated in the case.
The investigating officer requested physical remand, arguing that additional interrogation and the collection of evidence were necessary for the investigation.
After hearing the arguments, the court approved a five-day physical remand for all four suspects and allowed the police to continue their investigation. Further proceedings in the case will take place at the next hearing.
The allegations remain under investigation, and the suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
