Explosion Damages Bridge on National Highway in Dasht, No Casualties Reported

Dasht: A powerful explosion struck a bridge on the National Highway in the Dasht tehsil of Mastung district on Friday morning, causing partial damage to the structure but resulting in no casualties, according to local authorities.

Officials said the explosive device had been planted on the bridge located on Sibi Road near the National Database and Registration Authority office and opposite a WAPDA grid station. The blast occurred at around 8:00 a.m. and was heard across the surrounding area, causing panic among residents.

The explosion partially damaged both sides of the bridge. However, the district administration declared the bridge safe for use, stating that traffic on the National Highway continues to flow normally.

Following the incident, law enforcement personnel rushed to the scene, secured the area, and tightened security measures. Security forces and the district administration have collected evidence from the site and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the blast.
