Punjab Government Restores Previous Office Timings, Withdraws Energy-Saving Work Schedule

Islamabad: The Punjab government has withdrawn its decision to revise office timings and weekly holidays that had been introduced as part of an energy conservation initiative.

The previous working hours for government offices across the province have now been restored. In addition, the extra Friday holiday granted to government employees under the energy-saving plan has been abolished.

Government offices will now operate according to their regular schedules.

However, the government has decided to retain the existing energy conservation schedule for market operating hours, with no changes to the restrictions currently in place for commercial businesses.
