Shutter-Down Strike Continues for Second Day in Kharan Over Deteriorating Law and Order

KHARAN: A complete shutter-down strike continued for a second consecutive day across Kharan on the call of the Kharan Traders Association, as merchants protested against the deteriorating law and order situation, rising incidents of theft and robbery, and growing concerns over public safety.

All major and small business centers, markets, and shops remained closed as traders demanded stronger measures to protect the lives and property of citizens and the business community.

The protesters called on the authorities to take effective action against criminal elements and implement immediate, practical steps to restore peace and improve security in the district.

The Kharan Traders Association said the business community is facing increasing insecurity and uncertainty due to the worsening crime situation. It warned that if the authorities fail to address their concerns and improve security, the scope of the protest could be expanded in the coming days.

The traders urged the government and law enforcement agencies to act swiftly to restore public confidence and ensure a safe environment for businesses and residents alike.
