PkMAP Expresses Concern Over Musakhel Earthquake, Urges Swift Relief for Affected Areas

QUETTA: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has expressed deep sorrow over the earthquake that struck the Kangri tehsil of Musakhel district, leaving around 90 people injured and causing extensive damage to homes.

In a joint statement, PkMAP Central General Secretary Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal and Provincial President Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan said the party had contacted the Chief Minister’s House and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to seek updates on relief efforts.

According to the statement, PDMA officials informed the party that relief supplies had already been dispatched to the affected areas. However, delivery was delayed due to blocked roads.

The party leaders said the Deputy Commissioner of Musakhel had been directed to arrange immediate medical assistance from Loralai to ensure prompt treatment for the injured and provide other essential facilities.

PkMAP added that it remains in continuous contact with the Chief Minister’s House to keep the government informed about the needs of the affected communities and to help ensure effective relief operations.

The party reaffirmed its solidarity with the people of Musakhel district, Kangri tehsil, Rarasham, and other affected villages, and prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of those injured in the earthquake.
