RDMC Announces Scholarships for Primary School Graduates in Chagai District

Nokkundi: Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC) has announced scholarships for 23 students, including one female student, who have completed their primary education from company-supported schools in areas surrounding its project. The scholarships will enable these students to continue their education at institutions in Quetta.
To prepare the selected students, orientation and information sessions were held at the Nokkundi office of RDMC’s partner organization, Progressive Education Network (PEN). Students from Durbun Chah, Humai, Mashki Chah, Nok Chah, and Tang Kachao participated in these sessions, where they were briefed about the scholarship program and the next phase of their academic journey.
Following the sessions, the students departed for Quetta with program staff, marking an important step in their educational and personal development.
Highlighting RDMC’s commitment to education, Community Investment Lead Muhammad Essa Tahir said that education has always been a top priority under the company’s community investment program. He noted that such initiatives are creating opportunities, empowerment, and long-term development in areas where access to education was previously limited.
Beyond school-level initiatives, RDMC is also supporting higher education opportunities for youth across Chagai district and Balochistan. In collaboration with Sukkur IBA University, ten students are currently pursuing studies in geology and engineering under scholarship programs.
Additionally, RDMC has supported 52 students through IBA’s Foundation Semester Scholarships, aimed at preparing them for admission into leading universities across Pakistan. These initiatives are designed to ensure educational continuity and equip young individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to compete at the national level.
With the completion of this primary school scholarship phase, RDMC has concluded all its school and university-level scholarship programs for the academic year 2026. New scholarship announcements for 2027 are expected by the end of 2026 and will be shared RDMC’s official social media platforms. All scholarships will be awarded on merit, based on academic performance and available seats.
