Mother and Three Children Found Dead in Okara Home; Police Investigating Cause

OKARA: A woman and her three children were found dead inside their home in the Jandraka area of Okara, police said on Saturday, adding that an investigation is underway to determine whether the incident was a case of murder or suicide.

According to police, the bodies were discovered within the jurisdiction of Ravi Police Station. The deceased include a 40-year-old woman, identified as Fauzia, her 10-year-old daughter Dua, and her two sons, Junaid, 7, and Dawood, 6.

Police said the family’s breadwinner, Riaz, who works as a driver, was away from home for work at the time of the incident.

Investigators are examining both murder and suicide as possible causes of the deaths. The bodies have been shifted to the morgue for post-mortem examinations, the results of which are expected to help determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Authorities said further investigations are ongoing, and no official conclusion has yet been reached regarding the cause of the deaths.
