JUI-F Alleges Government Writ Has Weakened in Balochistan, Raises Concerns Over Security and Corruption

Quetta: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Balochistan chapter has claimed that the provincial government’s writ has significantly weakened across Balochistan, alleging deteriorating law and order and widespread corruption in government institutions.

The remarks were made during a meeting of the party’s Provincial Executive Council and Parliamentary Group, chaired by Provincial Amir Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey at the party’s provincial secretariat in Quetta.

The meeting reviewed the province’s political, security, organizational, and public affairs, and adopted several resolutions.

Participants expressed satisfaction over what they described as the successful Tahaffuz-e-Madaris wa Huqooq-e-Balochistan Conference, held in Pishin on June 4, saying the event marked an important milestone in the province’s political landscape. The party credited its workers, religious scholars, supporters, and district leadership for the conference’s success.

Addressing the security situation, the meeting alleged that the government’s authority had effectively diminished in both settled and unsettled areas of the province. According to the party, citizens are increasingly concerned about the protection of their lives and property, while the government’s administrative control is limited to a few official offices and restricted areas.

The meeting also condemned the killing of Mufti Zahid, a JUI-F leader in Shahrag, describing it as a tragic incident. The party criticized the authorities for failing to arrest those responsible and demanded their immediate apprehension and prosecution.

JUI-F further alleged that corruption, commission-taking, and administrative malpractice have become widespread in provincial institutions, claiming that development projects are being undermined by poor planning, favoritism, and corrupt practices. The party accused the government of failing to protect public resources and interests.

The meeting also reviewed organizational matters and adopted measures aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and public outreach. According to the statement, detailed circulars outlining the decisions will be issued to district organizations for implementation.

The session concluded with prayers for peace and stability in Pakistan and Balochistan, the elevation of the ranks of martyrs, and the welfare of the people. Senior party leaders, including Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah, Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Yousaf, Maulana Nazar Muhammad Haqqani, Maulana Sarwar Nadeem, Maulana Kamaluddin, Haji Dilawar Khan Kakar, Haji Ghausullah Achakzai, MPA Dr. Nawaz Khan Kakar, MPA Syed Zafar Agha, Haji Ainullah Shams, and Haji Manzoor Ahmed, attended the meeting.
