Influencer Samia Hijab Says She Wants to Change Her Life for the Sake of Allah
Islamabad: Pakistani social media influencer Samia Hijab has said she is trying to bring positive changes to her life by giving up revealing clothing and adopting the hijab, saying her decision is motivated by her desire to seek Allah’s pleasure.
In a recent post shared on Instagram, Samia said she has stopped wearing short and revealing outfits and is making an effort to wear the hijab. She added that the decision reflects her personal spiritual journey and her wish to improve herself.
Despite her commitment to this change, Samia admitted she fears criticism and online trolling. She said social media users often judge people based on their past and are unwilling to accept that individuals can change.
Samia came into the spotlight after claiming she had been the target of an attempted abduction. The matter was later settled outside court. Following the incident, she traveled abroad and continued sharing photos and videos on social media, where her lifestyle and clothing frequently became the subject of public discussion.
She also noted that some social media users had alleged that she used the alleged abduction incident to gain sympathy and popularity. However, those claims have not been independently verified.
Speaking about her recent decision, Samia said that while social media rarely gives people a second chance, she believes Allah always leaves the door open for repentance, self-improvement, and new beginnings. She added that this belief has given her the courage to pursue positive changes in her life despite the fear of public criticism.
