Sindh Government Announces Early Salary and Pension Payments for Employees and Retirees

Islamabad: In a major relief measure for government employees and pensioners, the Sindh government has announced significant changes to its salary and pension disbursement system, eliminating the need to wait until the first day of each month for payments.
According to a notification issued by the Accountant General Sindh, government employees will now receive their salaries on the 25th of every month, while pension payments for retired employees will be transferred on the 26th.
The revised schedule also states that supplementary and additional payments will be processed by the 29th of each month. Payments related to the General Provident Fund (GP Fund) and other outstanding dues will be handled between the 6th and 16th of the month, with certain payments scheduled for processing on the 20th.
The Accountant General Sindh has directed all government departments to submit payroll records and financial documents to the AG Sindh office on time to ensure smooth and timely transfer of funds.
The new payment schedule is expected to provide financial convenience to employees and pensioners by allowing them to receive their funds before the start of a new month. Officials believe the move will help improve financial planning and ease some of the economic pressure caused by rising living costs.
