Film Workers’ Body Seeks Higher Compensation from Sanjay Leela Bhansali After Worker’s Death on Set

Mumbai:** A leading film industry workers’ organization has demanded increased compensation from filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali following the death of a carpenter on the set of his upcoming film *Love & War*.

According to Indian media reports, the worker, identified as **Chandra Dhari Singh Yadav**, died after reportedly suffering an electric shock while working on the film’s set.

Following the incident, the **Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE)** called on Bhansali to provide financial support to the deceased worker’s family. The federation has requested compensation of **5 million Indian rupees (50 lakh)** along with educational assistance for Yadav’s children.

FWICE President **B.N. Tiwari** stated that the filmmaker has already provided **4 million rupees (40 lakh)** to the family. However, the federation is urging that the amount be increased to 5 million rupees.

The organization has also appealed to Bhansali to cover the educational expenses of the deceased worker’s two children.

Meanwhile, *Love & War* is one of Bollywood’s most anticipated upcoming films and features **Ranbir Kapoor**, **Vicky Kaushal**, and **Alia Bhatt** in leading roles. The film reportedly revolves around a complex love story involving two military officers.

The movie is scheduled for release in cinemas on **January 21, 2027**.
