Johnny Lever Urges Paresh Rawal to Reconsider Exit from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ Amid Legal Dispute

MUMBAI:Veteran comedian Johnny Lever has publicly advised fellow actor Paresh Rawal to reconsider his decision to walk away from the highly anticipated film *Hera Pheri 3*, stating that the film would lose its charm without his iconic presence as “Babu Bhaiya”.
The controversy began when news broke that Paresh Rawal had opted out of *Hera Pheri 3*, leaving fans shocked and wondering how the film could move forward without one of its most beloved characters. Rumors suggested that actor Pankaj Tripathi might step in to play Babu Bhaiya, but he promptly dismissed the speculation, expressing deep respect for Paresh Rawal.
“I’ve heard fans want me to take on the role of Babu Bhaiya, but I don’t think I can do justice to it,” said Pankaj Tripathi. “Paresh Rawal is an extraordinary actor, and I am nothing in comparison. I have immense respect for him and don’t consider myself the right person for this role.”
Amidst this unfolding drama, it emerged that Akshay Kumar’s production company is reportedly filing a **₹25 crore lawsuit** against Paresh Rawal for alleged breach of contract. According to the company, Rawal had publicly confirmed his involvement on January 30 via social media and formally signed the contract on March 27. Substantial resources had already been spent on the film’s teaser and initial shoot sequences.
Weighing in on the situation, Johnny Lever emphasized the importance of dialogue. In a recent interview, he said:
> “I believe Paresh Rawal should do the film. If there’s an issue, they should sit down and resolve it. Fans will miss him immensely, and the film won’t be the same without him. It’s better to talk things out and find a solution.”
*Hera Pheri 3*, the much-awaited sequel to the cult comedy franchise, had sparked excitement among fans with the reunion of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. However, the sudden fallout threatens to disrupt the chemistry that made the series a blockbuster.
As legal tensions rise and fan anticipation builds, all eyes are on whether Paresh Rawal will return to the role that became a comedy classic—or if *Hera Pheri 3* will have to move forward without its beloved Babu Bhaiya.
