Strict Security Arrangements for 8th Muharram Procession in Karachi

Karachi:** Strict security arrangements have been put in place across the city for the central procession of the 8th Muharram ul Haram.

The procession began from **Nishat (Numayesh)** and will pass through its traditional routes before concluding at **Imambargah Hussainia Irania in Kharkadar**.

Police have deployed heavy security along the procession routes, with key roads and adjoining streets in **Saddar, Regal Chowk, and surrounding areas** sealed to ensure public safety.

Authorities have also closed shops falling along the procession route as part of the security measures.

Traffic police confirmed that **M.A. Jinnah Road** has been completely closed for vehicular movement during the procession.

In addition, mobile phone services have been partially disrupted in areas surrounding the procession route, causing inconvenience to citizens.

Officials stated that these measures have been taken to maintain law and order and ensure the peaceful conduct of the religious procession.
