Armed Men Kidnap Government Contractor Along Quetta-Karachi Highway in Kalat

Kalat: Armed men abducted government contractor Sanaullah Behrani along with three of his security guards from the Quetta-Karachi highway near Kalat on Tuesday, according to sources.

Officials and local sources said the contractor was traveling with his team when armed individuals intercepted their vehicle, held them at gunpoint, and forcibly took them away to an unknown location.

The incident triggered fear and panic in the surrounding areas of the highway, a key transport route in Balochistan. Following the abduction, law enforcement agencies were informed and a search operation is expected to be launched for the safe recovery of the hostages and arrest of the perpetrators.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the motive behind the kidnapping or the identity of the armed group.
