Pakistan Will Protect All Citizens With or Without Uniform: Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar

Islamabad (News Desk) — Former caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that justice is not selective and should not be treated as such, while reacting to the life imprisonment sentence awarded in the Gwadar Raaji Muchi case involving Dr. Maahrang.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, he commented on the case, saying that the conviction is not a victory of the state over dissent, but rather a “victory of accountability over impunity.”
Referring to the case, he alleged that individuals who allegedly disguise themselves as peaceful activists while planning violence cannot use civil society as a shield. He stated that such actions eventually face judicial consequences through due legal process.
He further emphasized: “Pakistan will protect all its citizens, whether in uniform or without uniform.”
His remarks come amid ongoing debate over the court’s decision in the Gwadar Raaji Muchi case, which has drawn attention from political and civil society circles.
