VANCOUVER: Canada recorded a historic 6-0 victory over Qatar in the FIFA World Cup, earning three valuable points and registering their first-ever win in the tournament’s history.

Canada completely outclassed Qatar throughout the match, dominating possession with 78 percent of the ball and making full use of their superiority.

The scoring began in the 16th minute when Larin found the back of the net. Jonathan David doubled Canada’s lead in the 29th minute and added another goal in first-half stoppage time, giving his side a comfortable 3-0 advantage at the break.
