Pakistani Weightlifters Shine at Asian Masters Championship in Doha with Gold and Bronze Medals

Doha, Qatar – Pakistani weightlifters continued to impress at the ongoing Asian Masters Weightlifting Championship in Doha, securing another gold and bronze medal on the second day of the event.

Rashid Khan delivered a stellar performance in the 89 kg weight category, competing in the 50-year-old age group. He lifted a total of 170 kg — 80 kg in the snatch and 90 kg in the clean and jerk — to clinch the **gold medal** for Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Abdul Malik added to Pakistan’s medal tally by earning a **bronze medal**. Competing in the 51-year-old age group, Malik lifted a total of 193 kg, with 93 kg in the snatch and 100 kg in the clean and jerk.

With these victories, Pakistan’s medal count at the championship has risen to three, including two gold and one bronze medal. Earlier, on the opening day of the event, **Maqsood Rathore** won the country’s first gold medal.

These achievements highlight the growing strength and dedication of Pakistani athletes on the international masters weightlifting stage.
