Kuwait Revokes Citizenship of 2,192 More Individuals Amid Ongoing Review Campaign

Islamabad: Kuwait has revoked the citizenship of an additional 2,192 individuals as part of its ongoing nationality review campaign, according to notices published in the country’s official gazette.

According to Kuwaiti media reports, the latest citizenship cancellations are part of a comprehensive review process that has been underway for the past two years and has affected thousands of people.

The campaign is aimed at reassessing citizenship records and verifying eligibility under Kuwaiti nationality laws.

Media reports further stated that approximately 50,000 individuals had their citizenship revoked in 2025 alone, making it one of the largest nationality review initiatives in the country’s recent history.

The latest decision adds to the growing number of people impacted by the government’s efforts to reassess and regulate citizenship status across Kuwait.
