JUI-F Was Pushed to the Political Margins Through a Planned Conspiracy, Says Maulana Abdul Waseh

Quetta: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Balochistan President Senator Maulana Abdul Waseh has said that the party has been politically sidelined under a well-planned strategy for taking a firm and principled stance on public rights.

He stated that JUI-F has always remained at the forefront of the struggle for the protection of provincial resources, authority, and public rights, but what is happening in the democratic process reflects the influence of unseen forces promoting specific elements and narratives.

Maulana Abdul Waseh said that JUI-F does not practice politics for power but for public representation, constitutional supremacy, and national interests. He added that Balochistan’s political history shows that wherever the party was given the opportunity to serve, it delivered development, stability, and public welfare.

He said that the province is currently facing serious challenges, yet no one is willing to take responsibility for the situation. He warned that those who continue to interfere in politics should remember that history does not remember those who undermine democratic mandates in positive terms.

The JUI-F leader further said that the proponents of the Charter of Democracy are themselves weakening democratic values and undermining the constitutional framework, while attempts to subordinate the judiciary to the executive would push the country decades backward.

Welcoming a statement by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding alleged political adjustments in Gilgit-Baltistan elections, Maulana Abdul Waseh said the acknowledgment was appreciated. However, he added that this issue is not limited to Gilgit but also reflects similar political engineering in Balochistan.

He alleged that JUI-F’s electoral mandates were taken away through “Form 47” and handed over to other parties. He said the party would continue its protest against what he termed as an injustice against the public mandate.

He further said that in the upcoming local government elections, people would reject all such political arrangements and conspiracies through the power of their vote. He added that every corner of Quetta reflects JUI-F’s public service, honest leadership, and practical performance.
