Pakistan Allocates Rs3.01 Trillion for Defence Affairs and Services in Budget 2026-27

Islamabad: The federal government has allocated Rs3.01 trillion for defence affairs and services in the Federal Budget 2026-27, reflecting a significant commitment to national security and military preparedness.

According to the budget documents, a total of Rs3,010.9 billion has been earmarked for defence affairs and services, including Rs10.9 billion for defence administration.

The allocation for defence services stands at Rs3 trillion. Out of this amount, Rs967 billion has been set aside for expenditures related to defence personnel.

The government has allocated Rs743.46 billion for defence operating expenses, while Rs925.83 billion has been earmarked for the acquisition and maintenance of defence physical assets.

In addition, Rs363.15 billion has been allocated for defence civil works, covering infrastructure development and related projects.

The defence budget forms a major component of the federal government’s expenditure plan for the upcoming fiscal year amid ongoing regional security challenges and modernization efforts.
