Important Meeting Held in Gwadar to Resolve Electricity Issues, Complaint Cell to Be Established

Quetta (Kudrat Daily) — An important meeting was held at the QESCO office in Gwadar under the chairmanship of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Amir, MPA and leader of the Haq Do Tehreek Gwadar, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, to address electricity-related issues in the region.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman Municipal Committee Gwadar, councilors from various wards, and officials of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO), including XEN QESCO Hussain Bakhsh and other relevant officers.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on electricity-related problems in Gwadar city and across the district. Key issues included low voltage, replacement of outdated and substandard electrical wires, repair of dilapidated poles, timely maintenance and replacement of faulty transformers, and improvement of the overall power distribution system.
Participants also briefed QESCO officials about public complaints and difficulties being faced in different areas. Issues such as overbilling, incorrect billing, and electricity bill payment problems were also discussed in detail.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch and local representatives emphasized that public complaints must be resolved promptly and effective measures should be taken to reduce unnecessary hardships for citizens.
A significant decision was taken in the meeting to establish a formal Complaint Cell for the immediate registration, monitoring, and timely resolution of electricity-related complaints. The cell will ensure that public grievances are systematically forwarded to the relevant authorities and their resolution progress is regularly reviewed.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch stated that electricity is a basic necessity of life and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. He assured that efforts will continue to improve electricity supply in Gwadar and the entire district, along with continuous coordination with concerned departments.
Participants expressed hope that mutual cooperation and the establishment of the Complaint Cell will significantly improve the electricity system in Gwadar and reduce public hardships.
