Women’s Education and Services a Matter of Pride, Balochistan Government Committed to Empowerment: Governor Balochistan

Quetta (Kudrat Daily) — Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail and Director General Khana Farhang Iran, Abul Hassan, have said that women, especially female doctors, are playing a vital role in the development of society and their services are highly commendable. They stated that Islam does not restrict women from education and lawful employment, while the Government of Balochistan is committed to empowering women and ensuring their dignity.
They expressed these views while addressing the “Dukhtaran Balochistan Award” ceremony held in Quetta.
Governor Balochistan praised the performance of female doctors serving in the health department and said that female students in Balochistan’s universities are performing better than male students. He added that as the chancellor of 11 public sector universities in the province, he has observed a noticeable improvement in educational standards.
He further said that the provincial government is taking serious steps to improve law and order. Recent incidents of unrest and transporters’ protests have been taken seriously, and continuous contact is being maintained with senior political leaders to improve the situation.
The governor added that development projects will be prioritized in the upcoming provincial budget, along with special measures to increase employment opportunities. He said that government employees are being provided relief with the cooperation of the federal government, and political issues will be resolved through consultation and understanding.
He strongly condemned the attack on Dr. Mahnoor, stating that the government is in contact with the affected family and that police took prompt action after the incident.
On this occasion, Director General Khana Farhang Iran Abul Hassan said that doctors of Balochistan, particularly female doctors, are rendering outstanding services despite difficult circumstances. He expressed hope for stronger cultural and economic relations between Iran and Balochistan.
He also extended good wishes for the development, prosperity, and mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
Speaking at the ceremony, Pakistan Muslim League (N) parliamentary leader Mir Saleem Khosa said that the upcoming budget will be people-friendly and will open new avenues for development and prosperity in the province.
