Our Struggle Is Only for Justice, Not Personal Enmity or Ego with Anyone: Asma Jatak
QUETTA – Asma Jatak, in a statement on the social media platform X, has appealed to resolve the matter according to justice, law, and Baloch traditions instead of declaring it a matter of personal enmity, tribal honor, or ego, saying that the purpose of her struggle is only the attainment of justice. She claimed that after recent incidents, she and her family are being threatened with serious consequences, which has further added to their difficulties.
In her statement, the woman said her family has always spoken of justice and she has no personal fight or enmity with anyone. She appealed to tribal leaders, religious scholars, political and social figures, and all sympathetic individuals to save her matter from being sacrificed to personal ego or group conflict and to support her in the provision of justice.
Recalling the upbringing given by her late father, she said that even before his martyrdom, her father never cursed anyone but prayed to Allah Almighty to guide his opponents in favor of him and his family. She said her father’s way of thinking remains a guiding light for her today, and she seeks justice rather than hatred or revenge.
The woman said she, like every other daughter and sister in society, has the right to honor, life, and protection. She urged tribal elders and enlightened individuals to understand her pain, become her voice, and play their role in resolving the difficulties faced by her family.
She demanded that the relevant authorities take serious notice of the alleged threats received by her and her family, provide them effective protection, and ensure justice in accordance with the law after a fair investigation of the matter.
At the end of her statement, the woman said that if she does not get justice in this world, she will present her case in the court of Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgment, where, according to her, the decision will be based on truth and justice rather than any power, recommendation, or personal ego.
