PML-N MPA Saqib Chaddar Seeks Police Action for Recovery of Rs80 Million from Ramsha Iqbal

Lahore (Qudrat Daily) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the Provincial Assembly Saqib Chaddar has approached the police seeking recovery of Rs80 million from Ramsha Iqbal, sister of actress Momina Iqbal, along with the registration of a criminal case against her and her family.
According to details, the application submitted at a local police station has surfaced, in which the complainant has levelled serious allegations of fraud, criminal breach of trust, and threats over the non-repayment of the amount.
The complaint states that Saqib Chaddar maintained close personal relations with Ramsha Iqbal and her family. He claims that Ramsha Iqbal requested financial assistance for visa processing and travel to Australia, assuring that the money would be returned after completion of the process.
The MPA further stated that he provided a total of Rs80 million in multiple installments, including a cheque of Rs39 million deposited into her bank account, while the remaining Rs41 million was allegedly handed over in cash at different times in the presence of witnesses identified as Javed Iqbal and Bilal Akbar.
According to the application, despite repeated demands after the visa process was completed and Ramsha Iqbal’s departure to Australia, the amount was not returned. It alleges that she continued to delay repayment and later refused to return the funds, despite earlier assurances.
The complaint further claims that after moving abroad, Ramsha Iqbal avoided repayment commitments and allegedly issued threats when pressured to return the money. It adds that she has now completely denied the allegations and is refusing to return the amount.
Saqib Chaddar has requested authorities to register a case and ensure legal action for the recovery of the alleged Rs80 million under relevant provisions of law.
