Mohsin Naqvi to Visit Iran Today, to Deliver Field Marshal Asim Munir’s Message to Supreme Leader
ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is scheduled to depart for Iran today, where he will deliver an important message from Field Marshal Asim Munir to the Iranian leadership.
According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, citing informed sources, Mohsin Naqvi will convey a special message from Field Marshal Asim Munir to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during his visit to Tehran.
Sources said the Interior Minister held key consultations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior government officials prior to his departure. The meetings reportedly covered bilateral relations, the regional situation, and ongoing Iran–US negotiations.
It is further reported that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued special directives to Mohsin Naqvi regarding the Iran–US talks, which he is expected to convey to the relevant Iranian leadership during his visit.
Officials have not yet issued an official detailed statement regarding the agenda of the visit, while diplomatic discussions are expected to focus on regional stability and mutual cooperation.
