Forensic Examination of Digital Evidence in Case Against Drug Dealer Anmol “Pinky” Progresses

KARACHI: Significant progress has been made in the forensic examination of digital evidence in the case against alleged drug dealer Anmol alias “Pinky.”

During a hearing at the South Judicial Magistrate’s court, police submitted an application requesting that key digital evidence be sent for forensic analysis. The case involves multiple narcotics-related charges along with other allegations.

In their plea, police requested that voice recordings, voice messages, call recordings, and other digital evidence linked to the accused be sent to the Punjab forensic laboratory for expert examination.

Authorities stated that several pieces of digital evidence were recovered during the investigation, including recorded voice messages and call audio. However, the accused has denied that the voice in the recordings belongs to her.

Police argued that forensic testing is necessary to determine whether the voice in the recordings and messages matches that of the accused, enabling a scientifically verified assessment of the evidence.

The court has been urged to approve the transfer of all digital material to the Punjab forensic lab so that an expert report can confirm the authenticity of the voice evidence.
