Rs 15,000 Per Truck Illegal Recovery Must Be Investigated: Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind

Quetta (Daily Azadi) — Senior politician and former federal and provincial minister Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind has strongly condemned the alleged illegal collection of Rs 15,000 per vehicle from growers in District Usta Muhammad by Food Department officials, and has called for immediate action against those responsible.

He urged the provincial government, Commissioner Naseerabad Division, Deputy Commissioner Usta Muhammad, and relevant authorities to take notice of the matter, conduct a transparent inquiry, and take strict action against the officials involved.

Speaking to delegations of farmers from Usta Muhammad, he said that the farming community is already facing severe economic hardship, and such actions are further increasing their difficulties. He vowed to raise his voice against this issue at every forum.

Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind stated that farmers have complained that Food Department officials are allegedly demanding Rs 15,000 per truck illegally. He added that farmers who refuse to pay are being forced to sell wheat to the government at fixed or lower rates, which he termed a misuse of authority and an injustice against the farming community.

He said the situation is highly condemnable and amounts to “plundering the rights of farmers.” He demanded a fair and transparent investigation and said that if any official is found involved, strict legal action must be taken to ensure that no government employee dares to repeat such practices in the future.

He further said that due to rising inflation, increasing prices of petroleum products, fertilizers, seeds, and other agricultural inputs, farmers are already under immense pressure. He stressed that such actions will not be tolerated under any circumstances and reaffirmed his commitment to protecting the rights of the farming community.
