Youth Development Centers to Be Established in Balochistan Universities: Assurance in Meeting Between Mina Majid Baloch and Rana Mashhood

Islamabad (Kudrat News) — Provincial Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs Balochistan, Ms. Mina Majid Baloch, held an important meeting in Islamabad with Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, at his office, where detailed discussions were held on youth welfare, skills development, employment opportunities, education, and empowerment of young people in Balochistan.
During the meeting, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan briefed the provincial advisor on various ongoing initiatives under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. Ms. Mina Majid Baloch appreciated the government’s efforts in promoting youth development, technical training, skill enhancement, and self-reliance, stating that youth are the most valuable asset and the real driving force of any society’s progress.
She emphasized that Balochistan should be provided its due and proportional share in all youth development initiatives so that young people from the province can play a more effective role in national development.
The Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme informed that a plan is underway to establish Youth Development Centers in universities across the country. In response, Ms. Mina Majid Baloch proposed that universities in Balochistan should be included on a priority basis. Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan agreed with the proposal and stated that the Balochistan Youth Affairs Department should identify universities where such centers are most needed so that practical implementation can begin. Ms. Baloch thanked him for this positive development.
The meeting also discussed technical training and skill development initiatives. Ms. Mina Majid Baloch noted that due to the online shift of several NAVTTC programs, youth in remote and rural areas of Balochistan are unable to fully benefit from these opportunities. She suggested that these programs should also be introduced physically in Balochistan through the provincial youth department to ensure wider access for deserving candidates.
She further stated that students in Balochistan possess significant talent and potential, but lack of internationally recognized certification, training, and professional guidance prevents them from fully utilizing their abilities. She urged special initiatives under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to provide better national and international employment opportunities for the youth of Balochistan.
Ms. Baloch also called for an increase in quotas and seats for Balochistan students under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, enabling them to benefit from modern digital resources and advance in educational and professional fields. The Chairman assured full cooperation and positive consideration of these proposals.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan appreciated the performance of the Balochistan Sports and Youth Affairs Department and praised Ms. Mina Majid Baloch’s efforts for youth and sports development.
