Supreme Court to Hear Appeals of Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz Against Disqualification on October 27

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has scheduled the hearings of appeals filed by **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** leaders **Omar Ayub Khan** and **Shibli Faraz** challenging their disqualification.
According to *Express News*, a **five-member constitutional bench** headed by **Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan** will hear the case on **October 27**. The bench also includes **Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail**, **Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar**, **Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi**, and **Justice Shakeel Ahmed**.
The PTI leaders, who serve as **Opposition Leaders in the National Assembly and Senate**, respectively, had been disqualified following their conviction in cases related to the **May 9 riots**.
Both Ayub and Faraz filed appeals challenging their disqualification orders. However, the **Peshawar High Court** had earlier dismissed their petitions as “non-maintainable” on the grounds that they had not surrendered before the court.
The upcoming Supreme Court hearing will determine whether their disqualification orders can be overturned or upheld.
