Court Grants Investigation Officer More Time to Submit Charge Sheets in Anmol Pinki Drug and Illegal Weapons Cases

KARACHI: A Judicial Magistrate South court in Karachi has granted additional time to the investigation officer to submit charge sheets in drug possession and illegal weapons cases against Anmol alias Pinki and other accused persons.
During the hearing on Thursday, the investigation officer from Garden Police Station appeared before the court and requested more time to complete the investigation and file the challans (charge sheets) in the cases.
Accepting the request, the court adjourned the hearing until June 8.
Earlier, the same court had approved a police application seeking exemption from producing Anmol alias Pinki in court in separate murder and drug recovery cases.
The court observed that, due to security concerns, there was no need for the accused’s physical custody or court appearance until the submission of the charge sheets.
The cases against Anmol alias Pinki involve allegations related to narcotics recovery and possession of illegal weapons, while separate proceedings are also underway in connection with a murder case. Police investigations are continuing, and the court is expected to review further developments at the next hearing.
