Suspected Robber Killed in Karachi Shooting; Speeding Dumper Overturns in Separate Incident

KARACHI:** A suspected robber was killed during a robbery-related incident in Karachi’s Korangi No. 2½ area, while a speeding dumper overturned in Gulshan-e-Iqbal in a separate event, police said.

According to police, two suspects had allegedly snatched a motorcycle from a citizen and were attempting to flee the scene. As local residents pursued them, one of the suspects opened fire. Police claim that one of the robbers was accidentally shot and killed by his own accomplice during the chaos.

Authorities said the stolen motorcycle and a mobile phone were recovered from the deceased suspect.

In a separate incident, a speeding dumper truck overturned in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 2. Several pedestrians passing near the vehicle narrowly escaped injury.

Following the accident, angry residents reportedly assaulted the dumper driver and attempted to set the vehicle on fire. Police intervened and brought the situation under control.

According to officials, the dumper driver has been taken into custody and shifted to the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police Station for further investigation.

Police are continuing inquiries into both incidents.
