Major Development in Eman Mazari and Hadi Chaudhry Case as NCCIA Seeks Withdrawal of SC Order

Islamabad (Khabar Desk) — A significant development has emerged in the Supreme Court case regarding the suspension of sentences of Eman Mazari and Hadi Chaudhry, as the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has filed a petition seeking withdrawal of the court’s May 12 order.

According to the petition, the Supreme Court had issued directions to the High Court in its May 12 ruling; however, the agency argued that the apex court cannot interfere in matters that are already pending before the High Court.

The NCCIA further stated in its plea that, under the principle of equal treatment for all, the earlier order should be withdrawn. It maintained that the High Court should decide the matter of sentence suspension after hearing all concerned parties.

The petition also argued that approaching the Supreme Court against the issuance of notices for hearing the other side is not appropriate.

The case is now expected to take a new turn as the court reviews the latest application.
