Karachi: Fees for Fancy Vehicle Registration Numbers Set Up to PKR 2 Million

The Provincial Excise and Taxation Department has issued a notification setting the fees for acquiring preferred vehicle registration numbers in Karachi. Vehicle owners can now obtain their desired registration numbers by paying the prescribed amount, with the maximum fee capped at PKR 2 million.

Under the new fee structure:

* Numbers **786** and **110** will cost PKR 2 million each.
* Three-digit numbers from **111 to 999** will be available for PKR 1 million per number.
* Three-digit numbers from **100 to 900**, as well as numbers **001 to 009**, will require a fee of PKR 500,000.
* All other preferred registration numbers will be available for PKR 300,000.

The move aims to regulate the allocation of special vehicle plates while generating revenue for the provincial government.
