Dr. Asim Yusuf Appeals for Permission to Examine Imran Khan

Lahore: Dr. Asim Yusuf, associated with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, has appealed to the authorities to allow him and Dr. Faisal Sultan to examine former prime minister Imran Khan.
Dr. Asim Yusuf said that at 9:45 pm last night, he spoke with two doctors currently overseeing Imran Khan’s treatment. The conversation lasted approximately 45 minutes. During the discussion, he also requested that his colleague Dr. Khurram Azeem Mirza be included, which was accepted.
According to Dr. Asim, the attending physicians briefed him on Khan’s medical condition and discussed all relevant medical reports in detail. He stated that, as per the treating doctors, the medical care provided so far has resulted in noticeable improvement in Imran Khan’s eyesight.

However, Dr. Asim clarified that since he has not personally examined the former prime minister, he cannot independently confirm or deny the claims made by the treating physicians.
Expressing confidence in Al-Shifa International Hospital, he urged the government to permit him and/or Dr. Faisal Sultan — along with any ophthalmology specialists chosen by Imran Khan — to meet the former prime minister and participate in his medical evaluation and treatment.
