Sohail Afridi Reacts to Meeting Between Barrister Gohar and Mohsin Naqvi
Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has responded to reports regarding his meeting and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar’s meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
In a statement, the chief minister clarified that the meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was focused on the recent terrorist incidents in Bannu and the overall law and order situation in the province.
Sohail Afridi stated that no political discussions took place during the meeting, contrary to some media reports suggesting otherwise.
He further added that during a press conference two days earlier, he had already made it clear that he remains in contact with all relevant stakeholders regarding provincial issues and security concerns.
The chief minister emphasized that the discussions were purely related to maintaining peace and addressing security challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
