FIA Arrests 14 Afghan Nationals in Peshawar Over Fake Pakistani Identity Cards

Peshawar: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested 14 Afghan nationals during a raid on a hostel in the Tajabad area of Peshawar over allegations of obtaining fake Pakistani identity cards and passports.
According to FIA officials, the arrested individuals had allegedly paid agents between Rs2.5 million and Rs2.8 million each to acquire fraudulent Pakistani identity documents.
Authorities said the suspects intended to use the fake Pakistani citizenship documents to travel to Saudi Arabia.
During the operation, officials also recovered what were described as fake Pakistani passports from the accused individuals.
The FIA stated that investigators suspect the involvement of an organized international network operating in both Pakistan and Afghanistan that facilitates the illegal acquisition of identity and travel documents.
Officials said investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the network, while the possible role of officials linked to NADRA and passport offices is also being examined.
