PTI and PkMAP Hold Joint Protest in Harnai Over Economic Crisis, Power Outages, and Political Treatment

Harnai: A joint protest rally was held in Harnai under the platform of “Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan” by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party against the worsening economic situation, prolonged electricity load-shedding, and alleged unlawful treatment of opposition parties.
The protest march culminated in a large demonstration at Bacha Khan Chowk, where a significant number of party workers and supporters gathered.
The demonstration was led by Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party District Council Chairman Malik Abdul Salam Tareen, along with PTI District President Sardar Saddam Tareen and other local leaders from both parties.
Participants strongly criticized the continued imprisonment of PTI founder Imran Khan, raising concerns over reports regarding his health and alleging inhumane treatment of political prisoners.
Speakers at the event condemned what they described as worsening governance, economic instability, rising inflation, unemployment, and deteriorating law and order in the country. They said prolonged load-shedding has made daily life difficult, severely impacted farmers, and increased the tax burden on salaried individuals.
The leaders demanded an immediate end to what they termed unconstitutional and illegal treatment of opposition parties, calling for the release of Imran Khan and urging the government to take serious steps toward political stability, economic recovery, and relief for the public from inflation, unemployment, and power shortages.
