Sher Afzal Marwat Files Petition in Constitutional Court Seeking Reinstatement of Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister

ISLAMABAD: Politician Sher Afzal Marwat has filed a petition in the Federal Constitutional Court seeking the reinstatement of Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister.
According to the petition, the removal and de-notification of Ali Amin Gandapur has been challenged as unconstitutional and illegal. The plea argues that his resignation was taken under pressure and at the alleged direction of a “convicted and disqualified individual,” and therefore holds no legal validity.
The petition further states that the appointment of Sohail Afridi as Chief Minister should also be declared null and void.
Sher Afzal Marwat maintained in his petition that Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation was not voluntary and was allegedly obtained under coercion. He requested the court to restore Gandapur as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and declare all administrative actions taken after the resignation as unlawful.
The petition also urged the court to invalidate all official notifications issued following what it described as unconstitutional changes in the provincial leadership.
